Getting to know Facebook Business
Getting to know Facebook Business
The Facebook Business is the tool from the technology group recently renamed Meta, and it is where campaigns for Facebook and Instagram are run. It helps you organise and manage your company, keeping your personal profile separate from your business one. It is also where campaigns are set up: you define the objective, the region, the targeting, the call to action and much else besides. Below we go through what is worth knowing about Facebook Business.
How Facebook Business works
The platform includes Business Manager, which uses a two-step permission system so each person gets exactly the access they need. At the first level you add the people who will work with you and set what they can reach — as an employee or as an administrator, for instance. Each person can then carry out the tasks assigned to them, and you can follow the work as it happens.
That keeps your information on Facebook private, since you can grant each colleague a narrower level of access.
You can also assign access to the finance team, separating a finance analyst from a finance editor, for example. The first can see financial details; the second is authorised to change the payment records.
Once roles are assigned, you grant permissions over the company's assets — ad accounts and Instagram accounts, among others.
So someone can create ads and review how the page is performing while still being unable to post on it.
Facebook itself has become a place to sell: you can talk to customers directly, do away with sign-up forms and organise the work around the analytics the tool produces. Once access and permissions are settled, the next thing is to understand what the platform can do. To help with that, here are some of the many features of Facebook Business Manager:
- Separate ad accounts for each client
- Several ways to pay for ads
- Organisation by objective, so the reports answer to each goal
- Access to several clients' pages through the ad account and other assets
- A view of the tasks and who is carrying each one out
- Reports on the assets and people the company is responsible for, and on how the ads are performing across accounts
With those advantages behind it, money spent on ads works harder, because the content is lined up with the objective, the region, the targeting and the call to action.
What Manáry brings to your growth
Social media matters to a digital business because it forms small circles around your company. The community that backs your business gets direct access to content meant to sell. In the quick, easy language of stories, customers come close to the products with the added weight of trust in the creators they follow. And they can browse products and ads through a gallery of images and video.
At Manáry Digital your growth is our growth. That is why we run a defined process for putting projects in place: first understand the client's needs, wishes and goals, then build something that answers that brief specifically.
For campaigns run through Facebook Business, aimed at Instagram and Facebook, the tool already suggests routes to take. With a team of specialists like Manáry's, though, those results can be pushed a good deal further.
Our process is simple but effective, and runs in two stages:
- Briefing meeting: in this first stage we analyse your company, because understanding where you stand in the market matters. What are your particular advantages, your weak points, your openings, your competition? Then we answer the questions: what is your goal, who is the audience, where should the campaign point, and how much are you investing?
- Campaign setup: after the briefing meeting we start configuring your campaign in Facebook Business — putting into practice everything decided in the earlier stage.
